A composite that shows some of the restoration and clean up possible. The top is the original, middle is black and white and the bottom has a sepia tone.

Anything is possible in Photoshop, and this bit of work took some time to arrive at the final picture.

The picture cleanup and restoration can really only go so far. This particular project had a couple of issues. The most important part for the owner was the face, and I think that came out pretty good.

The process can include taking out all the little spots, enhancing the color and contrast and smoothing out the noise.

Sometimes you may have a great picture of someone dear to you, but there is one problem. In this project I was asked to remove an ex from the original picture. I gave three choices of background it was decided to go with the middle edited shot. That background was made from the original picture.
